Could Have Been Better

Aug. 14th Street Stock Special,
A promising start didn't end like we wanted it to, we drew pole position for the heat race but quickly started going backwards as the car was still setup from last week. In the end of the heat race we finished 5th making a 9th place starting spot for the feature. During intermission a few changes to the car were made hopefully for the better but the new setup was not properly tested because early in the race we had cut a tire causing us to fall to the back of the field to try and work our way up. With track conditions like they have never been before which was very dry with large ruts in the corners we had managed to work our way past 7 cars moving from 16th to 9th which is where we took the checkered. With high hopes of a good run we had to settle with another top 10 finish keeping us idle in the points standings at 8th place without any loss or gain on the next car ahead.
